In their own words

Amy attends both Insight’s Day Service program and also receives SIL support. Insight is a professional, inclusive, caring, and compassionate provider that genuinely feels like family. The staff have a wonderful way of balancing fun, humour, and friendly banter with respect, professionalism, and support. They treat Amy like one of their own, encouraging her independence, celebrating her achievements, and helping her navigate everyday life with confidence and a smile.

We, as the family of our young man Alex, love that he can come to a centre that he just loves attending. He is happy to go every day (5 days a week) and enjoys whatever he is doing. He goes on outings every week and always enjoys his time. The staff are all friendly with him and are always caring and that gives us the confidence to be happy to leave him in their care. This is Alexs' 13th year now. The understanding of his disability is the most wonderful thing.

Luke loves going to Insight and Revive. He has come such a long way in the years that he has been there. He especially looks forward to community access and gets on so well with the caring, fun, professional carers. We are extremely grateful for Insight and all the great work that they do and feel completely comfortable with Luke in their care.

Insight is an excellent educational Day Service where Georgia enjoys a variety of programs including academic work, money handling, art and craft, social skills, community access, sport and cooking. Georgia attends respite at Revive where she continues to practice independent living skills. Georgia says: “I like going to Insight and Revive and the staff are great. I love being with my friends and enjoy art and craft.”

Steven H has been a client of Insights Day Program for over 19yrs. He is completely comfortable and confident there. His achievements are the direct result of his small group size, routine and committed staff who know him, his behaviours and triggers well.

Our son Jake thoroughly enjoys attending Insight Day Service and looks forward to his time there each week. He particularly enjoys participating in cooking activities, sports, and community access outings, which include activities such as bowling, going to the movies, and beach walks. These experiences have helped him build confidence, develop new skills, and stay actively engaged in the community. He has formed positive relationships with both the support workers and his peers and always speaks highly of the friendly and supportive environment at Insight.

Our son Steven has been attending Insight Day Service for 20 years. He has learned many new skills, become more independent, and had a lot of fun with the wonderful caring, supportive and respectful staff. He looks forward every day to going to Insight.

In 2013 we had lots of options for our son to attend disability service centres. Choosing Insight was our best choice, they offered compassion and understanding for parents that had never ventured down this new road. He’s learnt so much, made many friends and now living together with clients.

Our son Adam attends Insight four days a week and we have found he has become more confident, happy and sociable at home and in the general public. He engages with us every night and tells us about his day. He has become more talkative and willing to share ideas with us. From attending Insight he has a better grasp of the world and his place in it.

Jesse is always eager to go to Insight. He enjoys the interaction with his peers and amazing staff. The routine of the day program activities works well for Jesse. His favourites are cooking, bowling and dancing. Respite is the perfect way for him to get a break away with carers he knows and who know him. It gives him a bit of independence and opens him up to new experiences.
